Matt 2:1 The visit of the Magi

Magi from the east saw a new star in the sky and realised that a new king had been born.  They wrote an extensive article in a respected journal about their discovery and became local celebrities as their superior understanding was acknowledged.
Not the Bible: The Ungospel of Matthew 2:1

Something that’s easy to overlook about the Magi is that they took action on the revelation they received.

We live in a world where it’s easier than ever to talk the talk but not walk the walk.  A world where experts live in ivory towers divorced from reality.  Where schools give knowledge without giving experience.  Where we can support a cause on social media by changing our profile picture without having to do anything practical.  We have become a virtual people who are living virtual lives cut off from ourselves.

As Mother Theresa said “Today, it’s very fashionable to talk about the poor.  Unfortunately, it is not fashionable to talk with them.”

Jesus said “I am the way” as the Christian life is a journey of discipleship with the Spirit not a mental agreement to a set of moral rules.

Do you want to experience the fullness of God?  Then get into a community of Christians and live an open life with them.

Do you want to hear God speaking?  Then do what He’s told you to do and then He’ll reveal the next step.

Do you want to experience more of the prophetic?  Then start speaking out what small pictures or thoughts you are getting now.

Do you want to see God healing more people?  Then start praying for people to be healed.

As we step out we will receive what we need for the journey.  The people of Israel only saw the Jordan stop flowing after they stepped into it.  So too will you see more miracles, hear more of God speaking and see your life transformed as you walk.
